Olóládé specializes in contemporary womenswear with an infusion of African prints. The founder and creative director, Gbemisola Ololade Akinwande, was born and raised in Nigeria; she’s a self-taught designer who realized her love for fashion and started designing in college, where she studied Microbiology.

In 2022 Ololade launched her first collection, a blend of sophisticated modern looks with unexpected, smart silhouettes and artful use of African print.

Ololade is inspired by structures, asymmetry, and certain unexpectedness in modern fashion, yet rooted in Nigerian influence. The layers, colors, and richness of traditional Nigerian attires are a major influence on each collection.

She creates pieces that are notable yet versatile. Every garment is made with meticulous attention to detail and luxurious materials, reflecting her core value of quality and originality.

A surprising layer to Ololade Akinwande is her love for coffee and cafes, which she is slowly introducing into her brand.
